Privacy notice
Last updated: 7 October 2026
This notice explains how Fontstone Ltd handles personal information in connection with this website and when you contact us. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Who we are
Fontstone Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17500420), with its registered office at Bartle House, 9 Oxford Court, Manchester, M2 3WQ. We are the controller of the personal information described here.
What we collect
When you visit this website. We have no contact forms, analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this site. Our hosting provider processes standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, as needed to deliver, secure and reliably run the website.
When you contact us. If you email or call us, we process the information you choose to give us. This may include your name, email address, telephone number, company and what your message says.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To run and secure the website. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: we need a website that works and is protected from misuse.
- To reply to enquiries and discuss possible work. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests. Where you are asking about entering into a contract with us, it is steps taken at your request before a contract.
- To provide services and keep business records. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract and compliance with our legal obligations, for example tax and accounting.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.
Service providers
We use a small number of trusted providers who process information on our behalf, under contract:
- Vercel Inc. hosts this website.
- Google (Google Workspace) provides our business email.
These providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, it is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for up to two years after our last contact if no business relationship follows. If we work together, we keep business and financial records for as long as the law requires, usually six years after the end of the financial year they relate to. Our hosting provider keeps technical logs only for a short period.

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you
- have inaccurate information corrected
- have your information deleted, in some circumstances
- restrict or object to how we use it
- receive your information in a portable format, where this applies
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within one month.
